“Rap Song” is the third promotional single from American R&B singer and rapper T-Pain‘s fourth studio album, rEVOLVEr.
The song features American rapper Rick Ross.
The music video premiered in mid November 2010, and it features none other than.. T-Pain and Rick Ross if that’s who you’re looking for somewhere in there motionless. They’re definitely in the song, somewhat hard to find in the video. It’s like a “where’s waldo” either way, what do you think of the “motionless-stand-still” style for the music video?
Throughout the song, there are references to other “rap songs” such as OutKast’s “Elevators (Me & You)”, 50 Cent’s “In Da Club”, Lil Wayne’s “A Milli” and Soulja Boy’s club hit “Donk”. The concept of the song is that instead of “making love” to a slow R&B song, some people prefer to “make love” to a “rap song”.
