Written and produced by The-Dream, the track was co-produced with Tricky Stewart. It is the second official single from Rihanna’s fourth studio album Rated R.

Rihanna shot the video on the 2nd & 3rd of December 2009. The video was directed by Melina. Rihanna told MTV News of the video, “It’s couture-military. Everything is surrounded by the whole idea of something military. We have tanks, we have troops, we’ve got helicopters, we’ve got explosions… Tight gear, lot’s of cute outfits, lot’s of bullets. Crazy.” In the video, Rihanna is single handedly trying to win some sort of war in the middle east (as portrayed by a stretch of So Cal desert) by out-fiercing the enemy. Scenes involve Rihanna as an Army General, a poker player – who wins, Rihanna standing on a pink tank with a Mickey Mouse-like helmet, and the singer poses semi-nude with just a helmet, jacket and black tape across her breasts.
