“New Thang” is the lead music video and single from American singer, dancer, DJ and rapper Redfoo, also known for being half of the duo LMFAO. It is featured as his lead promotional solo single from his upcoming debut studio album, I Look Good Naked!
The song, written and produced by himself, peaked at number 3 on the Australian Singles Chart. Redfoo performed the song live on The X Factor Australia’s result show on September 1, where he is also a judge/mentor.
The music video for this song was released on August 24, 2014, via Redfood’s VEVO account. The video was shot in Santa Clarita and features an array of scantily clad women in vibrant, neon colours and a shirtless man playing the saxophone. Redfoo said of the video: “It will always have a bit of humor and the sexiness. I might not be curing cancer but what I am doing is consciously doing my best to spread happiness as an entertainer. I want to make people feel good.”
The music video premiered on Redfoo’s official YouTube VEVO channel in late August 2014.
