“The Edge Of Glory” is a promotional single from American pop singer-songwriter Lady Gaga‘s second full-length studio album, Born This Way.

Written and produced by Gaga, Fernando Garibay, Paul Blair, and DJ White Shadow, “The Edge of Glory” was first released digitally as the first promotional single proceeding the album’s release.

The track has been confirmed as the third single from the studio album.

The track was produced by DJ White Shadow and premiered in early-mid May 2011. Other notable features of the song include a saxophone solo, which was performed by saxophonist Clarence Clemons, a prominent member of The E Street Band. Inspirations of the song came from the death of Gaga’s grandfather, who passed away in late 2010.
