“No Air” is the second single from Jordin Sparks‘s debut album, Jordin Sparks. It features R&B artist, Chris Brown. No Air started to climb the Mediabase charts in December 2007, a full two months before its release. On January 23, No Air reached the Top 40 on mediabase at #38 with an audience over 12 million. Currently, it charts in at #29 in Pop Airplay, and has reached the Top 100 in Rhymitic airplay.
According to USA Today, “No Air” has had about 139,000 downloads, currently at #28 on the iTunes Charts and #9 on the Top Pop Songs.
For the chart week of December 29, 2007, No Air debuted on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart at #14. For the chart week of January 5, 2008, “No Air” jumped 10 spots to number 104. In it’s 3rd week it climbed to #2 then the following week it made the official Hot 100. On the chart week ending January 19 “No Air” debuted at #95 on The Billboard Hot 100. In its 2nd week it jumped 26 spots to #69. It has currently reached #53 on the chart, despite the fact that it has still not been officially released.
Sparks and Brown shot the music video on January 22, 2008. Chris Robinson has been confirmed as director. A release date is unknown, but most likely within the next few weeks. Source.
