“Ride” is a song performed by American R&B singer, Ciara and features American rapper, Ludacris. Produced by Tricky Stewart and co-written by The-Dream and Ciara, the song will be released as the lead single from Ciara’s fourth studio album titled Basic Instinct. According to Amazon, the song will be released in the U.S. on April 27, 2010 as a digital download.
The music video was filmed in Los Angeles on March 30 2010 with Diane Martel who helmed the video for the singer’s previous singles “Promise” (2006) and “Like a Boy” (2007), as well as her worldwide 2009 hit single “Love Sex Magic”. Ludacris will make an appearance in the video.

Jive Records spoke exclusively to Rap Up on March 29, 2010 to confirm that Ciara would be releasing a new song called “Ride” featuring Ludacris. It is the fourth time that the two stars have collaborated together the first being 2005’s “Oh”, second being 2009’s “High Price” and the third being the 2010 remix to Ludacris’ single “How Low”. The magazine released a high quality snippet of the song on April 10, 2010 courtesy of Amazon. According to Amazon the song was due for release a week earlier with an original release date of April 20, 2010 but it will now be released on April 27, 2010 instead.
