“I Need a Girl“ is the first single from R&B singer Trey Songz‘ upcoming third studio album Ready, set for release in June 2009. Possible collaborators on Ready include Fabolous, Ne-Yo, J. Holiday, Drake, Chris Brown, The Game and many more. Production is set to come from the likes of Stargate, Jermaine Dupri, Jim Jonsin amongst others.
In 2009, “Can’t Help But Wait” earned Songz his first Grammy Award nomination for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance at the 51st Grammy Awards ceremony, held in February 2009.
